Discover How To Become A Ventriloquist And Master This Time Honoured Art

From the desk of: Martha Curry

Fellow Ventriloquist,

I set this website up because I absolutely love ventriloquism. As well as watching all the experts, I've started my practicing my own act. It's taken me longer than anticipated to master the art because there is so little information on the subject. The successful ventriloquists don't really want the rest of us to know how it's done. That's why I want to share my ventriloquist secrets with as many people as possible.

Since you've found this website I'm assuming you love ventriloquism as much as I do. The truth is, I'm always on the internet looking for tips and tricks. While doing some research, I stumbled upon a fantastic manuscript by Mr Charles H Olin.

Mr Olin one of the most well-known and respected ventriloquist's in recent history.. I noticed that most of his work was available online with the exception of one of the most important pieces of work, 'Ventriloquism'. Even though it was first published in 1917, this book has the best ventriloquist information I have ever seen.

In the 9 chapters here's just a snippet of what is covered:

  • The difference between a poet and a ventriloquist¡ªone of them is born the other has to learn the art.
  • Why understanding these two Latin words, " venter" and "loquor", will help you be an excellent ventriloquist
  • 'Near ventriloquism' and how to overcome some of the obstacles a beginner faces.
  • 3 simple exercises to control the lips, mouth and voice that will have you talking with out moving your mouth in no time at all.
  • Some great little tricks that let you say a sound in a different way.
  • Advice from the masters on how to combine words.
  • Simple step-by-step instructions to make a professional dummy from scratch.

If this is the kind of information that you have been looking for, here's the good news...

I have contacted the original copyright owners and gained permission to republish Mr Charles H Olin's complete work on this website. Although I had to pay to have the manuscript reformatted and published online, ventriloquism is my passion. Therefore, I want to share this book with as many people as possible for free.

The information is second to none and you'll soon have friends and family in stitches. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Cheers and Enjoy The Applause

Martha Curry

Marketing Tips For Actors - Focus on ONE Thing!
In such a competitive field, it is important for an actor to chose the medium where he can best succeed based on his own individual talents and ambitions. Here are some tips on choosing where to focus your energy to get the jobs you want.

"Nothing With Come of Nothing" ((Chapter Two; a Light Drama)(To Europe)
That summer Tony Garcia went for a weekend to Augsburg, with Katherine and Hans, and Bernadette, with his novel, and it was accepted by a fairly first-rate publisher, with the help of Arthur Burg, a rich Polish-German Jew, living in Augsburg, and a friend to Hans Gunderson. It had previously been published by a Paris publisher, with a first edition of only 1200 copies, which only sold three hundred to date, it would be now translated into German, as well as French, still the American edition...

When Theatre Meets Social Cause
Asmita presented their collection of five plays called Unsuni on June 29 in the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on sultry summer evenings. This play is based on the novel "Unheard Voices" by Harsh Mander. Directed by resident director Arvind Gaur and scripted by the famous theatre personality Mallika Sarabhai, Unsuni is more of a reality check!

"Nothing With Come of Nothing" (Chapter One - A Light Drama)
Tony Garcia was once a karate expert, champion in San Francisco. To be frank, I wasn't really all that impressed by the so called designation given him on behalf of the Gojo kai, Karate Dojo, but it meant a lot to Tony.

Do the Costumes Really Affect the Success of Your Play?
Do the costumes really matter when doing a play? You bet they do. If it wasn't for the costume designer you'd have a bunch of naked actors on stage.
